How to turn on a Vacation Notice
(out of office reply, confirming receipt of email, information bounce, etc.):
1. Click on Setup
(upper right hand corner of the Groupware Portal screen),
2. Click on the Vacation Notice tab
(slide the scrollbar over if necessary)
3. Leave the subject line blank. Type the notice that you want to be sent out when an email is received in your inbox. Click the checkbox at the top to activate the vacation notice – it turns on at that moment.
4. Don’t forget to uncheck the box when you wish to turn it off.
The interval number is how many days in between that you want the reply to go to the same sender. The save box at the bottom will turn on the temporary forwarding if you wish to have your EOU email go to a different address.
**DO NOT use the vacation settings on the email link at www.eou.edu – this is only for students and other non-groupware accounts.
