The Office of Financial Aid implemented the following disbursement policy for financial aid which is applied to all students receiving financial aid for every term of the academic year. The objective is to deliver eligible financial aid in the most timely manner possible, with less paperwork required from students.
Official Enrollment Levels- Your enrollment level for financial aid purposes is the same as your enrollment level with the Registrar's Office which is based on your number of credits. If you are not sure about your enrollment, please consult the chart below: ( Please note the chart below applies to all terms, including Summer)

Disbursement Policy Summary
1. Aid disbursement is the week before the term begins (EXCLUDING SUMMER TERM), please see below for the specific dates
2. The Census Date is the end of the 4th week of each term (EXCLUDING SUMMER TERM). This is the date that we will "freeze" enrollment for the term and base your financial aid on those number of credits. SUMMER TERM AID WILL BE ADJUSTED UP UNTIL THE LAST DAY OF THE TERM IF YOU DROP CREDITS.
3. Financial aid for the term will be adjusted to reflect the student's office enrolled number of credits at the time of the Census date. That is, if the student received aid at the beginning of the term that was based on full time enrollment, or the student was enrolled full time and then dropped credits, aid will be adjusted to the revised number of credits.
4. When a reduction in aid is required due to the student's office enrollment level on the Census date, the reduction may create a balance due on the student's account. It is the student's responsibility to make payment arrangements with the Student Accounts Office, 541-962-3590.
5. If a student's official number of credits at the Census date is less than half time, the student is not eligible for student loans. In this case, the entire loan amount for the term will be returned to the lender.
6. Retroactive aid (aid for a term that has ended prior to disbursement) must be disbursed based on completed classes/credits only. A completed class is a grade for that class that is either an A, B, C, or D. The student's GPA must also have been at least a 2.0 for that term.
Disbursement of Loan Funds After a Term Ends
To receive loan funds after a term ends, the student must successfully complete a minimum of half-time credits for the previous term(s). The student must also be enrolled at least half-time and requesting loan funds for the current term.
If the student is receiving a loan for just one term (e.g., fall term only), the financial aid award must have been offered, accepted and processed before the end of that term. Federal regulations mandate that a loan for a term that has already ended can be certified only if the student is currently enrolled at least half time and there has been no gap in enrollment. For example if a student attends Fall and Spring terms. We cannot process a Fall loan for that student in Spring term because there has been a gap in the enrollment.
