Focused on fostering self-sufficiency, this grant provides critical funding to improve and strengthen EOU&#8217;s academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability. Running from October 2021 to September 2026, this five-year initiative supports EOU&#8217;s mission to expand its capacity to offer high-quality education and comprehensive support to all students, particularly those from underserved communities. Through this program, EOU is committed to enhancing student success and achieving sustainable growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BRIDGES Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Academic Program Goal <\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Goal 1A: <\/strong>Improve student retention and graduation rates for first-time, <strong>full-time <\/strong>degree seeking students by redesigning advising; co-remediating in math and writing; providing first&nbsp; year experience, experiential learning opportunities, and a sense of belonging.&nbsp; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goal 1B: <\/strong>Improve student retention and graduation rates for first-time, <strong>part-time <\/strong>degree seeking students by redesigning advising; co-remediating in math and writing; providing first&nbsp; year experience, experiential learning opportunities, and a sense of belonging.&nbsp; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goal 1C: <\/strong>Improve student engagement, as well as fiscal stability of the institution, by&nbsp; systematically assessing learning supports associated with the Title III program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Institutional Management Goals<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Goal 2A: <\/strong>Improve students\u2019 career readiness as part of their educational programs through&nbsp; experiential learning opportunities.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Goal 2B: <\/strong>Strengthen technological infrastructure to support curriculum development, and&nbsp; students seeking experiential learning opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fiscal Stability Goals<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improve fiscal stability by recapturing student FTE through increased retention of&nbsp; first-year students to the second year and by ensuring completion of goals and\/or graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BRIDGES Strategic Priorities <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>EOU\u2019s Title III\u2019s strategic priorities to enhance its efforts to retain students and improve fiscal stability includes the following major tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes has-small-font-size\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>MAJOR TASKS<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>INITIATIVE LEADER\/<\/strong>s<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Effective Structures and Processes<\/td><td>Establish effective structures and processes to implement the five \u2013 year Title III grant program<\/td><td>Bennie Moses-Mesubed, Project Director &amp; All Team Leaders<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Academic Advising Structure<\/td><td>Strengthen advising structure with additional staffing and training for all advising staff to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.<\/td><td>Dr. Peter Geissinger, Interim Provost &amp;
