DESCRIPTION:Meet at the bus shelter at 6th and I Avenue (near the Loso parking lot) no later than 9:00 today. \nWe’ll spend much of the day traveling around town by public transportation\, learning how to use the bus (it’s free!) and meeting with people and programs who draw on different kinds of knowledge to build and sustain community in La Grande. \nLunch plans TBD\, likely making our own downtown at the La Grande Public Library. \nPlan to bring a refillable water bottle\, your journal\, and something to write with\, and wear shoes and clothes you’ll be comfortable walking in for part of the day (up to a mile). \nWe’ll pack sunscreen and extra snacks. \n  \n
