Incoming Freshman Awards<\/h3>

University Scholar Excellence & Access Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Priority deadline of February 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning in 2026-27, the University Scholar and University Scholarly-Need Awards will be combined into one award for new freshmen: the University Scholar Excellence & Access Award<\/em>. The award amount will vary dynamically based on your GPA and FAFSA SAI, but will align with the previous matrices, maintaining the same minimum and maximum award amounts (i.e., up to $18,000 over four years). Use the estimator below to calculate your potential first-year award. This scholarship renews each year for a total of four years, provided you complete 45 EOU credits annually and maintain a GPA within the eligible range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards are subject to budget availability and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. To be considered, you must have all required items on file: a completed application, a paid or approved (deferred) application fee, official transcripts, and a processed FAFSA or ORSAA with a valid SAI. University Achievement Award<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A renewable scholarship for new freshmen up to $3,500 over four years (see schedule).  No SAT or ACT scores are required, but you must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative, high school GPA or a GED score of at least 660 to qualify.  Awarded throughout the freshman application cycle, but does not stack with University Scholar, University Scholarly Need, or University Scholar Athlete Awards.  The Transfer & Returning Student Success or Continuing Student Success Awards also cannot be awarded simultaneously with a University Achievement Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A renewable scholarship for new freshmen student athletes up to $12,000 over four years (i.e. up $3,000 per year) in place of a University Scholar Award when funding for that has been exhausted.  No SAT or ACT scores are required, but you must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative, high school GPA to qualify.  Applications are submitted by your coach.  Please contact him or her to submit on your behalf.  Mutually exclusive with University Scholar Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$500 toward first year on-campus housing.  Must be a resident of Union, Wallowa, Baker or Umatilla counties.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Student Access & Engagement Scholarship

Purpose.<\/strong> To enhance access to education for all students at EOU by recognizing applicants who help peers navigate college and engage with student success resources. The award is open to all on-campus students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
