The EOU Music Department, in collaboration with esteemed musicians Mio Aoike and Peter Wordelman, will be hosting Community Fazioli Piano on April 20, 2024. This event invites individuals from the community to showcase their musical talent on the prestigious Fazioli piano at McKenzie Theatre.
The Eastern Oregon Career Expo takes place on April 3, 2024! This regionally focused event provides a venue for local and regional employers to gain access to students and community members seeking employment opportunities including part-time, seasonal, internships, and career positions.

Eastern Oregon University (EOU) and Legacy Ford of La Grande are proud to announce their ongoing partnership through the “Bridging Horizons: EOU’s Community Partnerships Spotlight” series. This initiative celebrates the connections between EOU, Oregon’s Official Rural University, and the businesses and organizations that are the backbone of eastern Oregon.
The Oregon Tribal Student Grant provides funding for eligible Oregon tribal students to offset the cost of attendance at eligible Oregon colleges and universities. Current, new and continuing students are encouraged to apply for this grant for the 2023-24 academic year. The grant is intended to cover the average cost of attendance after all federal and state grants/scholarships have been applied.

Dr. Costie received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Political Science from Aquinas College, a Master of Arts in International Development from American University, and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from University of Colorado-Denver. He has worked as a consultant in evaluating the impact of community organizations on urban climate resilience and their ability to bring their voices into their decision-making process. His recent research and dissertation investigates the use of strategic discourse in shaping the policy agenda related to hydraulic fracturing in Colorado and New York, specifically how increasing access to social media is allowing minority groups the opportunity to compete discursively with policy actors who have disproportionate influence.
