The Diversity Power & Discrimination (DPD) Substitution Form

(Click here) to see how DPD is established for a class

This form should be used when requesting that a transfer course be awarded DPD credit.

Registrar’s Method of Processing Request: The Registrar’s Office may use two possible methods of processing this request. Which method is used will depend upon the subject prefix of the transfer course.

  • Method 1: If the transfer course carries a subject prefix matching an academic program at EOU, then the request will be sent to the discipline chair of that program. Example – If the transfer course carries a subject prefix of ECON (Economics), then the request for DPD credit will be reviewed by the discipline chair of the business/economics program at EOU.
  •  Method 2: If the transfer course carries a subject prefix not matching an academic program at EOU, then the request will be sent to the discipline chair of a program that commonly offers DPD coursework. Example – If the transfer course carries a prefix of LS (Liberal Studies), then the request will likely be reviewed by the discipline chair of the anthropology and sociology program at EOU.
