Invite to the December Public Meeting

We would like to cordially invite the public to a meeting of the Wallowa Union Railroad Authority (WURA) on Tuesday December 15, 2015 at 5:00PM at the Senior Center at 208 E. 2nd St. in Wallowa, Oregon.

The agenda includes presentations to the board by organizations and other members of the public addressing whether WURA should enter into negotiations to authorize use of its right-of-way from Elgin to Joseph for a potential trail adjacent to the existing railroad. The railroad will still continue to operate during the use of the trail and if the board decides to take action under which terms and conditions they will do so under. With this being said, the board is not expected to take action at the meeting, however we encourage your participation and greatly appreciate your feedback for we are working very hard to make this project feasible and beneficial to everyone in the community.Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you on December 15th!
