Understanding the history and culture along the projected trail is important to study. Historical sites can be marked to inform future trail users of the area and help to protect the area.

In each surrounding city of the trail, general data was collected to assess the current economic state of each city. General information like number of buildings, vacancy rate, and events were collected to help write up the economic impact analysis.
