From the President \u2013 June 10, 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We made it!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dear EOU Community,<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Commencement is Saturday! We\u2019ve completed the academic year and are sending another class of amazing graduates into our communities to inspire, serve, and foster a brighter future. Thank you again for all you do for our students, EOU, our community, and our region – our students are amazing because you are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The round of mini-celebrations occurring this week and last for students is a testament to our mission-oriented service. I\u2019ve been so grateful to be invited to and attend many of these. In fact, I\u2019ve been so busy attending these events, I\u2019m keeping this message short and sweet!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the many celebrations occurring this year is a Pride Family Fun Day<\/a> organized by many of our own university employees on Friday, June 12, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Max Square in La Grande. Looks like a really fun event, and I can\u2019t wait to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we close out this academic year, I will move to monthly rather than biweekly updates over the summer. Of course, I hope you will reach out with questions and to share your accolades as always. I love hearing from you!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
