Enrollment Actions Checklist for Online/Onsite Students

This checklist will help you stay organized, from completing your application to registering for classes!

   Completing your admissions application

Go to eou.edu/admissions/apply.

Submit your $50 application fee if you apply after January 1, 2015 (students enrolled through Eastern Promise are exempt)

   Submitting necessary documents

For freshmen these include: Sealed official high school transcripts or GED scores; official SAT or ACT test scores; sealed official college transcripts (if applicable). For complete details see eou.edu/admissions/freshman.

For transfers these include: Sealed official high school transcripts (if you have less than 72 quarter or 60 semester transferable college credits); sealed official college transcripts demonstrating 2.25 GPA or better with a minimum of 30 transferable quarter or 20 semester credits from an accredited school; proof of completion of at least two courses in the sciences, social sciences or humanities.    Getting online

Go to my.eou.edu for step-by-step instructions on accessing your EOU E-mail, Webster, Blackboard & Canvas.

When you become admitted, you’ll receive a EOU Mountie Pass account along with an EOU e-mail account. Check and respond to messages sent to it regularly – even before classes begin – so you don’t miss a thing.

Webster is EOU’s student website to view and update your personal information, add or drop courses, view your academic records and financial aid, and find your academic advisor.

When you register for an online or hybrid class, you should be able to access materials on Blackboard and/or Canvas the next business day. It’s important to note not all instructors use these systems and your course(s) may not be visible until the first day of class.   Applying for financial aid 

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at fafsa.ed.gov anytime after January 1 every year. The EOU school code is 003193. Apply early, as some financial aid funds are limited. For answers about financial aid at EOU, please visit eou.edu/fao, contact our Financial Aid Office at fao@eou.edu, or call toll free 800-452-8639 or 541-962-3550. Notification of financial aid will be sent as early as March.

  Applying for scholarships

View opportunities for EOU and other outside scholarships online at eou.edu/fao/scholarships. For answers about financial aid visit eou.edu/fao, contact our Financial Aid Office at fao@eou.edu, or call toll free 800-452-8639 or 541-962-3550. Remember to watch for scholarship deadlines!

 Setting up your Revolving Charge Account

  • Login to your Webster account and click the Student and Financial Aid tab
  • Select Student Account, then click Start a Revolving Charge Account Contract 
  • Complete the form and hit submit (don’t forget to accept the Terms and Conditions)

  Contacting Advising to register for classes

As an admitted student, you are assigned a personal academic advisor who will work with you to create a college plan and get registered for the classes you need to complete your degree. Your advisor will also answer questions and explain whether or not you will need to take Accuplacer. Participation in our Degree Planning Workshop is required for online students only and may be completed online or at a live location near you. Cost is $50. Contact  your advisor or Dee Toland at dtoland@eou.edu for registration information.
