LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – The Student Advocates for Gender Equality (S.A.G.E.) club at Eastern Oregon University is continuing the annual spring book sale previously organized by the Women’s Resource Center.
Set for Mother’s Day weekend, May 8-10, the sale begins with an early bird special. For a $5 admission fee, shoppers can browse tables from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday in the Hoke Union Building, Room 339. Admission is free from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Proceeds will help fund the new Gender and Sexuality Resource Center on campus, which is staffed by volunteers and currently open 15 hours a week in Hoke 133A. The center promotes awareness and understanding of gender issues at EOU and in the community.
