Explore the area, learn valuable skills, develop friendships and discover lifelong outdoor sports with a class like hiking this fall.
LA GRANDE, Ore. September 26, 2016 – Eastern Oregon University is offering for-credit courses in a variety of outdoor activities that promote wellness, teamwork, leadership, self-reliance, communication, collaboration, critical thinking and personal responsibility.
Space is still available to register for OUT 180 classes in hiking, indoor beginning gym climbing and introduction to rock climbing.
“These courses are a fantastic opportunity for students to explore our region’s many natural wonders and learn valuable skills, plus have a whole lot of fun meeting new friends while developing an appreciation for physical activity, lifetime sports and outdoor education,” said Michael Hatch, EOU’s Outdoor Adventure Program coordinator.
