LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – A new mobile application is connecting people with Eastern Oregon University’s recent news, events, application information and more.
Using the “GoEOU!” app, prospective students can explore EOU through photo tours, access academic, tuition and housing information and apply for admission.
“We’ve been wanting to launch an app to attract students and share information about EOU,” said Tim Seydel, vice president for University Advancement. “When Chris Jennings joined our marketing team last fall, he immediately began developing it and we’re very pleased with the launch!”
The app also provides one-click access to the My.EOU.edu portal, where current students and employees can login to their e-mail, Webster, Canvas and Blackboard accounts.
“Our new mobile app provides an incredible opportunity for us to communicate with students,” said Kevin Townsend, an EOU admissions counselor. “With such a high percentage of students using smartphones and tablets, it puts information right where students expect it to be.”
The free beta version is available to download for iPhone and Android devices at www.eou.edu/app. An iPad version with more robust features will also be released soon.
Suggestions regarding future app development are welcome and can be submitted using the short form at www.eou.edu/app.
