La Grande, Ore. − Eastern Oregon University will open its residence halls August 19 to 22 for visitors seeking views of the solar eclipse.
Suite-style rooms accommodate up to five people and include a bathroom, common room, and kitchenette with full-size fridge and microwave. Guests can check in starting at 3 p.m. August 19, and must check out by 11 a.m. August 22.
Lodging is available for $500 for all three nights, and is not refundable. Bed linens and WiFi are provided, but guests are responsible for supplying their own towels, toiletries, extra blankets, and kitchen ware. EOU campus policy dictates that pets, tobacco products, alcohol and other drugs are prohibited in the residence halls.
