LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – Learn how to access, search and request images from Eastern Oregon University’s digital archives during a free workshop at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 at Pierce Library, Room 209.
The library’s digital archives include historical photographs from EOU and the region, Fred Hill’s World War II and historical collections and Union County oral histories.
“Many of these collections represent a real community effort,” said Karen Clay, Pierce Library director. “All kinds of people have contributed information about individuals, places and dates in the photographs, and we’ve used that information to enrich our indexing and allow the collections to really speak to the area.”
The workshop is part of the library’s monthly Tips & Treats Series highlighting useful resources. Refreshments will be provided. For more information visit library.eou.edu or call 541-962-3579.
