LA GRANDE, Ore. April 13, 2017 – Students in the Polynesian and Navigators clubs at Eastern Oregon University are presenting the annual Island Magic Lu’au and Show Saturday, April 22.
The event is a tradition spanning 30 years at EOU and features festive, traditional food – including a whole roasted pig from Hines Meat Company – and live entertainment.
The lu’au starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Gilbert Center adjacent to Ackerman Hall and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. in McKenzie Theatre in Loso Hall.
Tickets are available at EOU’s Bookstore, Multicultural Center and Looking Glass Books downtown. Admission is $10 for students, seniors and children and $12 general.
Safeway is co-sponsoring the anniversary celebration. For more information call the Multicultural Center at 541-962-3741.
