LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – John Winters, N.D. will be the guest presenter for the EOU Health Speaker Series Thursday, April 26. Students and community members are invited to attend the free presentation at 6 p.m. in Badgley Hall, Room 102.

Winters worked as an EMT and paramedic for 10 years and received a bachelor’s of science from Lewis and Clark College. He went on to earn a medical degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and after completing his residency in Winnipeg, Manitoba, started his practice in La Grande in 1992. He specializes in natural family healthcare.

EOU and the Northeast Oregon Area Health Education Center launched the speaker series with the goal of providing students interested in pursuing healthcare careers the opportunity to hear first-hand experiences from members of the area medical community. The series will continue through spring term with one presentation each month.
