Great Value Colleges
LA GRANDE, Ore. March 31, 2017 – Eastern Oregon University has been named among Great Value College’s 50 best colleges for adult education in 2017-18.
The ranking was created using data from the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database, U.S. News & World Report and school websites.
Beginning with a list of 100 colleges and universities with the highest percentage of students over the age of 25, the following methodology was used to compile the top 50: affordability; bachelor’s degree programs; online degree programs; graduate study availability; additional programs/services beneficial to non-traditional students; student to faculty ratio; student retention; and academic awards and recognition.
Great Value Colleges has recognized EOU for its online degree programs in previous years and other sources like Military Times have ranked the school for being accessible to veterans and adult students.
“What makes EOU distinctive is our support for adult students,” said Michael Jaeger, interim executive director of Regional Outreach and Innovation for the university. “Our advisors are personal coaches that work alongside the student from admission to graduation. EOU offers many tools in support of that success path: degree programs available completely online, reduced tuition costs and scholarships, credit for prior experience, and the most efficient transfer of credits from other colleges and universities. If you want to complete a degree, Eastern can work with you to reach that goal.”
EOU online students have access to personal advisors, affordable tuition and accredited degrees in subjects like physical activity and health, emergency medical services administration and business.
