Oct. 3, 2017 La Grande, Ore. − Sisters Elisa, Corina and Lia will join their father Eduardo on stage in McKenzie Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 to perform traditional Brazilian music.
The family forms Choro das 3, a band that brings instrumental choro music to venues around the world. The up-tempo genre emerged in Brazil in the 19th century and features flutes, a seven-string acoustic guitar, mandolin, clarinet, banjo, piano and pandeiro.
Their visit to Eastern Oregon University is sponsored by the institution’s Visiting Artist Fund, and includes this family-friendly concert that is free and open to the public.
