June 24, 2015
LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – From musicians to mathematicians, educators to economists, artists to athletes, Eastern Oregon University presented a total of 39 awards to undergraduate and graduate students at its annual awards assembly June 12.
“Today we have the privilege of honoring some of our best and brightest students,” said Sarah Witte, interim provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs, who served as master of ceremonies for the event.
Some of the students receiving awards are also graduating this year, so the assembly provided an opportunity for faculty to publicly acknowledge and highlight their accomplishments prior to leaving EOU.
