LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – The Counseling Center at Eastern Oregon University invites students to participate in two weekly discussion groups during spring term: a Men’s Group and a Mindfulness Group.

The first group focuses on men’s experiences of and thoughts about masculinities, male relationships and generally what it means to be a man in today’s world. It is open to any student who identifies as a male.

A variety of mindfulness-based contemplative practices will be covered in the second group, with the aims of enhancing psychological awareness, reducing stress and anxiety, and developing emotional attunement and acceptance. It is open to all students.

  • Men’s Group meets from 4-5 p.m. Tuesdays in Zabel Hall, Room 109
  • Mindfulness Group meets from 4-5 p.m. Thursdays in Zabel Hall, Room 106

There is no cost associated with participation in either of these groups. Interested students should contact Tucker Brown, clinical counselor, at 541-962-3744 or tbrown@eou.edu.
