LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – Community Bank’s annual charity drive is devoted to supporting local nonprofit organizations, and this year students at Eastern Oregon University will benefit.
The bank’s two La Grande branches are accepting donations now through December 18. The bank will match up to $500 per branch at 50 cents on every dollar given and the funds will be disbursed through the EOU Foundation as the Community Bank Regional Scholarship.
Students with demonstrated financial need living in the bank’s designated Oregon service region – Union, Baker, Morrow, Umatilla and Wallowa counties – are eligible for awards.
Since the Community Bank Charity Drive began in 2010, the total amount given to charities in eastern Oregon and southeastern Washington exceeds $95,400, an average of almost $19,000 per year.
Visit the branches at 904 Adams Ave. or 2313 Adams Ave. to make a donation.
