LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – Due to increasing demand, EOU’s Outdoor Program is expanding its climbing wall hours to be open from 3:30 to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

“We encourage families, students and kids to come enjoy the fun sport of climbing,” said Michael Hatch, Outdoor Program coordinator.

EOU students access the climbing wall for free and community members may purchase day passes for $5. Five-day, individual and family season passes are also available. EOU faculty and staff pay half the community member rates.

Climbing shoes and harnesses are available to rent through the Outdoor Program for $5.

The climbing wall can also be reserved for special events like birthday parties, youth group gatherings and school functions. For more information visit www.eou.edu/outdoor/eou-rock-wall or call 541-962-3621.
