LA GRANDE, Ore. December 12, 2016 – A thousand white LED’s are adorning the giant sequoia on Eastern Oregon University’s campus for the holidays thanks to help from two area businesses.
W.C. Construction, Inc. based in Elgin and Miller’s Tree Service in La Grande donated money, time and services to illuminate the 55-foot redwood by Quinn Coliseum. EOU celebrated with a tree lighting ceremony November 28.
Facility operations coordinated the project with costs offset substantially by the generous business contributions. The tree will remain lit through the first of the year.
