May 20, 2019 LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Board of Trustees convenes Thursday, May 23 for its final regular meeting of the 2018-19 academic year.
After months of planning and discussion with students and stakeholders, the board will determine EOU’s budget and tuition for next year. Room and board rates, student fees, tuition increases, and the university’s operating budget are all up for review.
Trustees will also hear presentations about new academic programs, including a proposed Sustainable Rural Systems degree and expanded opportunities for student research. As trustees look toward another celebratory graduation ceremony in June, EOU staff member Holly Chason will report on student completion rates as they relate to enrollment.
A legislative update and shared governance reports are also on the agenda.
