LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU)
– Nine different university and community groups will take the stage for The Observer’s 22nd annual Holiday Music Festival the first weekend in December.

Performances in the gala-style event take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7, and 3 p.m. Dec. 8 in McKenzie Theatre in Loso Hall at EOU.

The university’s African drumming, fiddle and jazz ensembles, drumline, women’s and chamber choirs, will join the Grande Ronde Symphony Orchestra, community chorus and symphonic band in sharing holiday music from around the world. Santa Claus is also scheduled to make an appearance.

Koza Family Dental Care, P.C., is sponsoring the festival. Net proceeds benefit music funds in the EOU Foundation.

Admission is $8 for adults, and $6 for senior citizens and EOU students. Tickets are available at the campus bookstore, the Mountaineer Market at 1008 Adams. Ave. and Looking Glass Books at 1118 Adams Ave.

Advance ticket purchase is recommended.

In addition the Community School of the Arts, a partnership between ArtsEast and EOU, will hold a silent auction in the Loso Hall lobby to benefit community arts programs for children and adults.
