About 45th Parallel
45th Parallel is an ensemble of EOU student musicians interested in contemporary “African rhythm-based” music styles. Ensemble members enjoy putting their creativity to the test by arranging, improvising and choosing many of the musical selections, and with help from faculty members Luke McKern, Matt Cooper and John McKinnon, the group combines all styles of music when preparing for a performance.
This concert features the music of Bonnie Raitt, Delbert McClinton, Duke Ellington, The Beatles, The Pogues, Richard Bona and Chick Corea. Enjoy an evening of diversity and support Haven from Hunger by making a donation of non-perishable food or cash. The event is free and open to the public.
