She writes, \u201cEssentially it\u2019s a collection of guided visualizations. Each one is based on Surrealist art and Chinese Medicine. They are meant to be listened to a la carte as restorative care during meditation time, on subway or bus commutes, or during bouts of insomnia.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MFA faculty member <strong>Nick Neely<\/strong> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/abookanditsauthor.libsyn.com\/009-alta-california-by-nick-neely\" target=\"_blank\">talks about (and reads the prologue of) his second book <em>Alta California<\/em><\/a> in a new episode of the podcast <em>A Book and its Author.<\/em>&nbsp;He also has an extremely <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ampersandmagazine.org\/film-spotlight-the-dark-divide\/\" target=\"_blank\">short capsule review in <em>Ampersand Magazine<\/em><\/a> of the film <em>The Dark Divide<\/em>, which is based on Robert Michael Pyle\u2019s book <em>Where Bigfoot Walks<\/em> (he recommends this sometimes goofy but beautiful flick).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Amy Parker<\/strong>, MFA \u201916, has new work in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/biostories.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Gracepoint.docx.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><em>bioStories<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em>and forthcoming in <em>DIAGRAM, Schuylkill Valley Journal, <\/em>and <em>Serotonin<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MFA student <strong>Kyle Rowland<\/strong> recently published a poem in Issue 10 of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phantomdrift.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Phantom Drift<\/em><\/a>. He says, \u201cI got to do a reading with them back in November, so I can vouch that [the journal] showcases some really badass work from some cool writers and poets!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MFA faculty member <strong>Jodi Varon<\/strong> had an essay &#8220;Augury&#8221; published in the autumn 2020 issue of <em>Boulevard<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MFA student <strong>Vanessa Watters<\/strong> has a spate of good news: Her poem, &#8220;Big Mother Blue,&#8221; was accepted by Poets Choice for their forthcoming compilation, <em>Global Warming<\/em>; another poem, \u201cLimbo,\u201d concerning our current times, will appear in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.beyondwordsmag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Beyond Words<\/em><\/a>; and a third poem, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/thedewdrop.org\/2021\/02\/07\/vanessa-watters-amnesia\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cAmnesia,\u201d<\/a> is now featured on <em>The Dewdrop<\/em> online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MFA student <strong>Chelsey Waters<\/strong> published her first short story, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/unearthedesf.com\/chelseyjwaters\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Reunion on the St. Joe,&#8221; <\/a> in the December issue of <em>Unearthed<\/em>.
