Digital Signage Requirements and Guidelines

Content Requirements:

• All signage submissions must be .jpg or .png and 1920×938 pixels. Slides that are not at this pixel size and landscape-oriented will be sent back for editing.
• Be brief. Use minimal copy to effectively communicate your message; address “what, where, and when” as concisely as possible.
• Use easy-to-read fonts, with large font sizes.
• Avoid jargon, and define acronyms.
• Avoid large blocks of text when possible.
• Text must contrast against the background. If the background is a light color, make sure the text is a dark color. If the background is a dark color, make sure the text is a light color. This also applies to text in front of images. Avoid placing text in front of busy images.
• Include contact information. Include a website URL, phone number, and/or email address in case anyone has questions or would like to find out more.
• Create your files in RGB. When creating .jpg or .png files, remember that they should be in RGB color format. CMYK files will cause your colors to render in an unfavorable way when uploaded to the display system.
