The EOU Summer Bridge and First-Year Experience programs invite all faculty, staff, and students to join us in reading and discussing Dr. Beth Piatote’s short story collection The Beadworkers<\/a><\/em>, whether in or outside of class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Common Reads” like ours are designed to bring communities together through a shared intellectual experience, creating opportunities to discuss and draw connections across our different roles, backgrounds, and fields. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have been privileged to welcome Dr. Piatote to campus several times since The Beadworkers <\/em>was first published; her creative and scholarly work have become a cornerstone of EOU’s first-year curriculum and programming. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
