The Fire Services Administration program\u2019s BA\/BS degree requirements provide for a major built upon an associate degree in fire protection science or a professional technical core fire science curriculum available from most community college fire programs. Core lower-division courses are also available through our FSA program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EOU\u2019s FSA program is recognized as a Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) provider of the National Fire Academy\u2019s FESHE model bachelor\u2019s curriculum and addresses the requisite knowledge and skills found in NFPA 1021, Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications (2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur degree allows students the ability to customize their program by offering additional elective FSA and EMSA coursework and it’s easy to double major in both disciplines. We also make maximum use of prior training and certifications. Students who have experience in wildland firefighting may elect to follow the new ‘wildland fire track’ and apply their wildland training to their FSA degree.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
