Financial aid includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/financial-aid\/review-award\/grants\/\">Grants<\/a>:<\/strong> gift aid that doesn\u2019t have to be repaid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/financial-aid\/review-award\/loans\/\">Loans<\/a>:<\/strong> borrowed money that you must repay with interest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/financial-aid\/work-study\/\">Work study<\/a>:<\/strong> money earned at a part-time job<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applying for financial aid is easy and confidential. To apply, you provide information about your income and benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"central-steps\">\n<li>Complete the application To apply, complete either the FAFSA or the ORSAA, depending on your immigration status.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Complete the FAFSA<\/a><\/strong><br>U.S. Citizens and eligible non-citizens complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). See more about <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/understand-aid\/eligibility\/requirements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FAFSA eligibility requirements<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/oregonstudentaid.gov\/fafsa-orsaa.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Complete the ORSAA<\/a><\/strong><br>Oregon residents with undocumented status, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), or Temporary Protected Status (TPS) complete the ORSAA (Oregon Student Aid Application). Learn more by taking the <a href=\"https:\/\/oregonstudentaid.gov\/orsaa-filter.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FAFSA or ORSAA quiz<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get admitted to EOU If you haven\u2019t taken a class at EOU in the last two years, you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/slate.eou.edu\/apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply for admission<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start checking your dashboard when EOU gets your application, we\u2019ll send an email to your EOU email address and update your Financial Aid Dashboard on your <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/my.eou.edu\" target=\"_blank\">my.eou.edu<\/a> Dashboard. Log in and check for customized messages about your financial aid.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to apply for FAFSA and ORSAA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\/fafsa-deadlines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">studentaid.gov FAFSA application deadlines<\/a> page to learn about upcoming deadlines, and visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/oregonstudentaid.gov\/fafsa-orsaa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">oregonstudentaid.gov<\/a> site to learn about ORSAA requirements. You must reapply each year for financial aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is eligible?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for financial aid, you must meet these criteria. On that page, you\u2019ll see standard budgets for full-time enrollment at EOU. We can predict the cost of attending EOU, but we can\u2019t estimate how much aid you will receive until you apply. After we get your application, we\u2019ll let you know how much aid you are eligible for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wondering about scholarships?<\/strong> There are additional application processes when seeking scholarships.
