Financial Aid Office
Transferring to EOU Before An Award Year Begins
Normally, students who transfer to EOU before a financial aid award year begins (usually for fall term) will not experience any delay in having their financial aid processed and aid disbursed to their accounts.
There can be times when a short delay happens. This usually occurs if a student is ending enrollment at one school and beginning enrollment at EOU immediately (the next term). As students transfer in, we must make sure that students have eligibility for Pell Grant and loan programs that may have been partially used at their first school. We place a “Transfer Monitoring Hold” on students’ aid disbursements and usually resolve these holds within 7 days.
Transferring to EOU mid-Award Year
Students who transfer to EOU after a financial aid award year has begun will have their financial aid calculated based upon their eligibility for federal funds at EOU and based upon federal or state (Oregon Opportunity Grant) funds used at their first school. We place a “Transfer Monitoring Hold” on students’ disbursements. We usually resolve these holds within 7 days.
