About Dr. Evans

In fall 2011, I returned to my undergraduate alma mater, Eastern Oregon University, as English/Writing faculty and director of the Writing Center and Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC). I teach college writing and provide ongoing training for writing tutors. The Writing Center is open to all students, with online scheduling for campus tutorials and eTutoring for online and on site students. In my WAC role, I am available to consult with faculty on writing projects such as integrating writing into courses and curriculum, disciplinary writing assignments and assessment, and Gen Ed assessment planning and analysis. Professionally, I have given many presentations on rural rhetorics, composition, and writing center and WAC research at international, national, and regional conferences. My publications include poetry and creative nonfiction, and peer reviewed articles on writing center, writing assessment, and composition research.
