Due to extreme weather and dangerous winter conditions on campus and throughout the area, and expected worsening conditions, Eastern Oregon University’s main campus in La Grande is closed Friday, Dec. 23. All offices, buildings and pathways are closed to members of the EOU community and the public. EOU employees are not to report for work remotely or on-campus. EOU on-campus partners are not to report for work on campus. Monitor your EOU email, the EOU website, Facebook, Canvas, Mountie Hub, local broadcast radio or call EOU’s weather line at 541-962-3131 for updates.
For Classified employees scheduled to work, use of inclement weather hours is authorized in accordance with Article 58 of the OPU-SEIU contract. Contact the Human Resources Department with any questions about timesheet entries.

In the event of an emergency or campus closure, EOU students, employees and partners will be notified via e-mail, voice and text messages.
On campus students are automatically opted in. Online students must opt in manually.
