Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Student Requirements
Student Requirements for Early College Credit
Students who are currently high school seniors, juniors and qualified sophomores (according to Oregon policy) enrolled in public, non-public secondary schools, or a home education program are eligible to participate in dual credit courses.
Students must provide:
- Proof of high school enrollment
- Verification from the state of Oregon of your home schooling status
- A letter from their counselor indicating they are qualified and prepared for college courses
A minimum high school GPA of 3.0 is generally required.
Students should also understand that the amount of work necessary to succeed in dual enrollment courses may be greater than in high school courses. Prior academic performance must indicate an expectation of successful completion of dual enrollment in both high school and college coursework.
Fees for EOU college credit programs are based upon the current policy for high school students taking courses. For the 2017-18 academic year, the tuition for taking a Sponsored Dual Credit course is $31 per credit and on-campus/online classes are $60 per credit hour. Additional fees may be required for some courses (i.e. lab fees, etc.).
