Conference emphasizes college and career readiness skills

Educators interested in learning more about Eastern Promise and the 10-Year Career and Education Plan are invited to attend a free conference at Eastern Oregon University on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Guest speaker Dr. Lauren Wintermeyer will share the “Get Focused…Stay Focused!™ Progression in Education Model developed by Santa Barbara City College.

Eastern Promise to hold regional meetings in April

Eastern Promise will host four regional meetings throughout April to provide high school students and their parents with more information about the program. Locations are in Pendleton, La Grande, Boardman and Hermiston. All events run from 7-8 p.m.

Eastern Promise program for high school college credit kicks off Nov. 4

A unique program that will expand the ways high school students can earn college credit – and possibly even graduate high school with an associate’s degree – kicks off on Nov. 4 at Eastern Oregon University. The program creates additional opportunities for high school students to participate in college-level courses, as well as earn college credits and/or certificates, while still in high school, a big money savings for families.
