Testing

COVID-19 Testing for EOU Students

EOU will provide take-home test kits for all students planning to take in-person classes or access on-campus services during Winter Term 2021.

Students taking in-person classes and/or using on-campus services will be required to take a COVID-19 test before resuming in-person classes or services for Winter Term. Test kit pick-up is Jan. 2 and 3 in Quinn Coliseum. All tests must be conducted and returned to Quinn Coliseum by 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4.

Students taking in-person classes and/or using on-campus services must complete the Winter Term Preparations Questionnaire by Dec. 31.

In order to facilitate this level of testing all classes will be held remotely for the first week of Winter Term. In-person classes and services will resume as planned after test results have been evaluated.

How to Access Your COVID-19 Test from EOU

Participation is mandatory for all students intending to take classes in-person or access resources on the La Grande campus during winter term.

  • Residential students: You should have completed a mail-in test kit during Winter Break, and you must complete a second test on Jan. 4. You will receive your test kit from Residence Life staff Jan. 2 or 3. Details will be available when you check in for the term. Contact Residence Life (reslife@eou.edu) with any questions.
  • Student-athletes: Contact your coach for testing information.

Test kit pick-up/return information for the following students is provided below.

  • Students attending on-campus courses
  • Students planning to use on-campus resources
  • Students living off-campus and attending classes on campus
  • Students who work on campus
  • Eastern Promise/high school students attending classes in-person on campus

All students under 18 need to use a different test, which will be scheduled individually. Contact Student Affairs at saffairs@eou.edu to arrange a testing day and time.

Online or onsite students not planning to use services on EOU’s La Grande campus are exempt from testing.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, do not pick up your test. Instead, email saffairs@eou.edu and we will help get a test scheduled for you at the Student Health Center.

If you have tested positive for COVID in the past three months you should NOT take another test on Jan. 4. Please email saffairs@eou.edu and we will get you cleared to start in-person classes.
