COVID-19 Testing for EOU Students

Students taking in-person classes and/or using on-campus services will be required to take a COVID-19 test before resuming in-person classes or on-campus services for spring term.

The following students are REQUIRED to test at the beginning of the spring term:

  • Residence hall students
  • Student-athletes
  • Students taking in-person classes and/or using on-campus services

To facilitate this level of testing all classes will be held remotely for the first week of spring term. In-person classes and services will resume as planned after test results have been evaluated.

You will be UNABLE to attend your class in-person until we receive test results.  Faculty will be notified by Friday, April 2 of students in their courses who have not yet provided us with test results.  If you are having issues with access to COVID-19 testing please contact saffairs@eou.edu.

Students who are fully or partially vaccinated for COVID 19 are still required to test.

Student testing exceptions:

  • Students who are taking only online and/or REMOTE classes and will not be using services on campus are exempt.
  • Students who have tested positive for COVID 19 within the past three months are exempt but they must provide Student Affairs with proof of a positive test result.  Please email saffairs@eou.edu for details.
  • Students under the age of 18 registered for in-person courses.  The Office of Student Affairs will follow up with you regarding your exception and the necessary steps that you must follow to take in-person classes and/or use on-campus services.

  • Continue to wash your hands frequently.
  • Do not attend social gatherings outside of your current household.
  • Avoid visiting stores or other places unless absolutely necessary.
