Feb. 25, 2022 – Friday COVID Update

University Community,

Recent announcements about the statewide indoor mask mandates being lifted on March 19 are certainly good indicators of progress in our collective response to COVID-19.

EOU is conferring with local and state public health and safety authorities regarding changes to the university’s COVID-19 policy and workplace rules. For now, please continue to observe the requirements for indoor face coverings.

We are looking ahead toward spring break, and assessing the necessary protocols that will help keep our campus community safe and healthy. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, we are prepared to adapt and your flexibility is very appreciated.

Thankfully, case numbers are continuing to decline in the region. If you think you’ve been exposed to COVID-19, check this handy guide for a range of scenarios.

Vaccination clinic March 2

The next on-campus vaccination clinic will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., March 2 in the Quinn Practice Gym. Vaccines are free and health professionals will be available to discuss any questions. Make an appointment at chdinc.org/mar2-eou-clinic.

Safety and health reminders

  • Stay home if you have illness symptoms of any kind, and contact your supervisor.
  • Complete the Daily Self Health Check in Mountie Hub before you arrive on campus.
  • Wear a proper face covering indoors. KN95 masks are available at building entrances.

Students with questions should contact Student Affairs (saffairs@eou.edu) or call the COVID Hotline at 541-962-3260. Employees with questions should contact their supervisor or Human Resources (hr-group@eou.edu).

Sincerely,

Executive Leadership Team
