Feb. 2, 2022 – Friday COVID Update

University Community,

CHD administered 31 doses of COVID-19 vaccines at this week’s on-campus clinic, and the next on-campus vaccination clinic is scheduled for March 2 in the Quinn Practice Gym from 12 to 2 p.m. Additional information and a link to make an appointment will be available soon.

If you think you’ve been exposed to COVID-19 or if you’re not sure what protocols are in place, please check this handy guide that covers a range of scenarios.

Please continue to follow preventative requirements, including

  • Stay home if you have illness symptoms of any kind, and contact your supervisor.
  • Complete the Daily Self Health Check in Mountie Hub before you arrive on campus. Everyone coming to campus, including fully vaccinated (boosted) students and employees, are required to complete the check each day before coming to campus.
  • Wear a proper face covering indoors, and wash your hands frequently. KN95 masks are available at entrances to several buildings.
  • Protect yourself from serious illness by keeping your vaccination status up to date and getting your booster! Uploading proof of your booster shot to Mountie Hub is optional, but very much helps EOU staff manage quarantine protocols in close contact exposure incidents.

Testing clinics for students Tuesdays and Fridays

Student Affairs has resources to test symptomatic and COVID-positive students, as well as those students who have been exposed to COVID-19. These students must test negative before they return to in-person classes. Additional information has been sent to students via email.

Employees who have symptoms or need a test have several options

  1. Order free at-home tests provided by the federal government at covidtests.gov.
  2. Go to your doctor’s office or urgent care. Please do not visit an emergency department/room for COVID-19 testing, unless you require emergency care for your symptoms.
  3. Attend weekly testing on Tuesdays at the Union County Fairgrounds.

Students with questions should contact Student Affairs (saffairs@eou.edu) or call the COVID Hotline at 541-962-3260. Employees with questions should contact their supervisor or Human Resources (hr-group@eou.edu).

Thank you for your continuing patience and diligence.

Sincerely,

Executive Leadership Team
