Sept. 24, 2021 – Friday COVID Update

EOU Community,

A new year opens in a few short days, and we are eager to embark on this journey together. EOU is in a secure financial position and enrollment projections show the university performing better than many peer institutions.

Please find this week’s reminders and updates below:

  • Data dashboard updated to include vaccination info: The revamped coronavirus data dashboard now includes the vaccination rate for employees and students. These numbers are updated regularly. The remaining portion of students have until Oct. 22 to provide their vaccination information or receive an exemption. Unvaccinated students must provide a negative COVID-19 test before they attend classes on campus.
  • Wearing proper face covering: As we reconvene for classes and activities, please remember to wear a proper face covering indoors and outside when physical distancing is not possible. Nose and mouth must be covered by cloth or paper covering that meets health standards. Find more specifics in EOU’s Face Covering Policy
  • Basic health behaviors: Regular hand-washing, staying home when ill, and completing the Daily Health Check remain critical to maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Contact your supervisor if you feel unwell, or if you have questions about COVID-19 safety measures.
  • Sanitization stations relocated: Sanitization stations on campus continue to be available and some are being placed directly in the classrooms. These stations include hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray or wipes, and disposable face masks.

Thank you for your persistence in protecting the welfare of our campus community as we work to provide a high-quality education in rural Oregon. Find more information at eou.edu/coronavirus

Thank you,

Executive Leadership Team
