CARES funds distribution process through FAO

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides emergency grants to students enrolled in on-campus programs. Resources are available for students who feel that they have experienced a financial loss due to COVID-19. To be eligible for CARES Act funding, students must be eligible for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA).

If you have suffered a financial loss due to COVID-19 and are worried about covering the cost of food, housing, healthcare, childcare, technology, or course materials while enrolled at EOU, we are here to help.

EOU’s Financial Aid Office has established the Financial Assistance Request-COVID19 Related Financial Losses form to collect basic information and connect students with a financial aid counselor. Financial aid counselors will evaluate individual student needs for the awarding of possible CARES Act funding, and assist students with any other financial concerns. EOU financial aid counselors will reach out to you as quickly as possible after you submit the form. Students will receive an email notification from the Financial Aid Office when their submission has been processed.

The Financial Aid Office is working closely with the entire university community to coordinate emergency grants to students who qualify. If you have any questions or financial concerns, please contact the Financial Aid Office, use the form, call 541-962-3550 or email fao@eou.edu.

We are all here to support you during this unprecedented time!

Sincerely,

EOU Financial Aid Office
