Online testing is also available.\u00a0 Visit this website to learn more:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/ged.com\/take-the-ged-test-online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/ged.com\/take-the-ged-test-online\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The current test series is the 2014 Series GED\u00ae Test.&nbsp;&nbsp; There are a total of four exams that must be passed before you can earn your GED certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The cost for each of the 4 subject exams is $44; a total of $176 for the full battery of tests. <strong>Residents of Union County Oregon will have their test fees paid for.<\/strong> For more information please call and make an appointment with the Continuing Education Coordinator at <a href=\"http:\/\/541-786-9299\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"541-786-9299\">541-786-9299<\/a> or email <a title=\"Continuing Education Coordinator\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"mailto:ctrochlell@eou.edu\" target=\"_blank\">ctrochlell@eou.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The GED\u00ae&nbsp;test is about 7 \u00bc hours long with the timing as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reasoning through Language Arts is 150 minutes (including a 10-minute break)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematical Reasoning is 115 minutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Science is 90 minutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Studies is 75 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The&nbsp;test<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The 2014 GED test represents its biggest overhaul in more than 70 years. GED Testing Service spent five years revamping it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The new test aligns with current high school standards, including grade 12 standards, and career- and college-readiness expectations. It has four content areas: mathematical reasoning, reasoning through language arts (RLA), science, and social studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The 7\u00bc-hour test will be delivered on the computer to provide a consistent testing experience nationwide and improved testing rates. &nbsp;Some accommodations for those with approved, diagnosed disabilities are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The test includes seven different answer types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2022 Drag and drop<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2022 Drop down<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2022 Extended response<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2022 Fill in the blank<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2022 Hot spot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2022 Multiple choice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2022 Short answer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In Oregon, there is no waiting period if you do not pass a subject area test the first time. After taking a test subject 3 times, you&#8217;ll have to wait 60 days before retesting. There&#8217;s no limit to how many times you can test in a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Students will receive same-day scoring on all four parts, including the new score report for reporting and remediation.
