Michael earned his B.S. in Information Science and his M.B.A. from Robert Morris University near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is currently in the dissertation phase of a Doctorate of Business Administration in the Computer and Information Science department at Cleveland State University. His research interests include exploring the emergence of social identity and group dynamics in computer-mediated interaction, supply chain management and enterprise systems use in small and medium enterprises, the organizational impact of technology, and computer-supported collaborative learning in e-Learning environments.
Michael’s teaching and research are informed by his experience in operations management and systems development roles. He has worked in a number of industries over 24 years, advancing through line, staff, administrative, and management roles, and has been involved with companies that ranged from small manufacturing firms with just a few employees to transnational corporations that employed more than ten thousand. His business career progressed through positions in production and inventory management, procurement, supply chain and logistics management, and systems analysis, with a major emphasis on systems design, development, and implementation and on business process improvement.
