Marc Duncan, Ph.D.

Dr. Duncan’s background is unusual, an amalgam of resource and business training, private sector experience, and public service. He has an undergraduate in Wildlife Biology (Washington State University), a masters in Environmental Science (Washington State University), an EMBA (University of Hawaii, Manoa), and a PhD in Marketing (University of Oregon). After leaving WSU in 1974, he worked for three separate federal agencies, the last being the Bureau of Land Management in California as an Environmental Coordinator. In 1980, he moved his family to the Big Island of Hawaii where he started and built a very successful consulting firm, Environs Pacific, that he ran profitably for 17 years. In 1996 he returned to the Pacific Northwest, which he had always considered home, to complete the PhD at UO in Eugene. He has taught several undergraduate and graduate courses, both in-class and online, including Intro to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, E-Marketing, Marketing Strategy, and Marketing Management.
