My name is Kari Day and my area of interest is Forensic Accounting because it allows me to make a positive contribution to the integrity of our global economy. I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Forensic Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Fraud Examiner. I hold an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Business, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business-Accounting, a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and am a doctoral student in an Advanced Accounting PhD program. I have developed my career working as an auditor in public accounting and teaching university level accounting courses at various institutions in Oregon. My areas of real world expertise include auditing and forensic accounting; and I have taught the majority of accounting courses required in undergraduate accounting degree programs and have taught corporate finance, financial statement analysis, and other graduate courses at the executive and MBA levels. I enjoy hiking with my Bernese Mountain dog in the forests around my home, and doing Bikram Yoga whenever I can. My hobby is traveling to present papers around the world, and engaging in solution oriented discussions with my global peers.
