You will develop skills in strategic planning, athlete development, and program management, applying sports science and athletic coaching principles learned through coursework to practical coaching and team management situations.<\/td><\/tr>
Professional Development:<\/strong><\/td>This position offers numerous professional development opportunities. You will receive job-specific training provided by the Athletics Department and participate in University-wide training events. Additionally, you will have access to sponsored training activities, career exploration activities via Career Services, and resume reviews with Career Services and\/or WorkSource Oregon. These experiences will help you build professional competencies such as strategic planning, athlete development, and program management, preparing you for a successful career in sports management or coaching.<\/td><\/tr>
Summary of Job Duties\/Responsibilities\/Essential Functions:<\/a><\/strong><\/td>– Represent Eastern Oregon University Men\u2019s Soccer and Athletic Department in all manners, including participation in promotional and public-related events.
– Assist with building a competitive roster according to the program guidelines.
– Assist with planning, supervising, and coordinating training sessions and games.
– Train the GKs of the team according to the program\u2019s philosophy.
– Scout high school and junior college goalkeepers in the region during the off-season.
– Create and maintain healthy relationships with local high school, college, and club coaches.
– Assist with organizing and running ID Camps.
– Assist in managing players’ behavior inside and outside the soccer field.
– Perform other GK coach duties and responsibilities as assigned by the program\u2019s management.<\/td><\/tr>
Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/td>– College-level GK experience – Played collegiate soccer<\/td><\/tr>
Preferred Qualifications<\/strong>:<\/td>– GK coaching experience at U15 and up
– In possession of a GK coaching license
– Established relationships with College\/HS\/Club coaches<\/td><\/tr>
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities<\/strong>:<\/td>– Ability to build and implement a training\/practice plan
– Ability to design and implement a Game Model
– Strong communication and organizational skills
– Ability to conduct group meetings and trainings<\/td><\/tr>
