EOU’s Bridge Academy is an online platform designed to bundle classes into programs (bridges) that fit your life. Whether you are looking to advance your career or get ready to take another step on your educational journey, the Bridge Academy has a course for you. The bridges we offer are unique, affordable and provide you with professors who will do what it takes to ensure your success. Currently, we offer three bridges: healthcare administration, trauma-invested education and physical education. More bridges are being built every day!
The EOU Bridge Academy has been added to the Eligible Training Provider’s list through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
Students from Union, Wallowa, Baker, Malheur, Umatilla, Morrow, Grant and Harney counties who complete a Bridge program may have access to up to $5,000 to pay for tuition, textbooks, etc. through the Training and Employment Consortium (TEC).
To find out if you are eligible, please contact Tracey May at email@example.com.
Our Healthcare Administration (HCA) Bridge Program is focused on helping you become career-ready. Our HCA bridge program was created to help you navigate and advance in your career through interaction and learning by doing. Taught entirely online by practicing healthcare managers, we are committed to preparing you to thrive in the ever-changing healthcare field. We will do this by delivering courses that can connect prior experiences with targeted learning to earn the skills and competencies required to progress in your career.
*This certification satisfies OHSU’s 15 upper-division non-nursing elective requirements.

As families around the world cope with isolation, illness and financial hardship, Eastern Oregon University faculty members shaped new coursework to prepare teachers to respond to their students’ needs. This new coursework brings trauma-informed teaching best practices to students.
The Trauma in Educational Communities bridge is the only program of its kind in Oregon. It is open for enrollment in fall 2020. These courses offer ongoing education opportunities for working teachers and others working in complementary fields.
Our curriculum focuses on science based approaches, practical applications of movement analysis, and techniques for teaching motor development across the lifespan and in special populations. When the PES concentration is combined with the Masters of Arts in Teaching, students are well prepared to enter the teaching work force.
