These awards each come with a $1,500 renewable scholarship to study art at EOU. Suyematsu for her drawing <em>Snack Time<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Weston McEwen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>Angelica Mirnov for her acrylic painting of a peacock<em><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jaime Gustavson, Art instructor at Union High, presented a $100 Union High School Bobcat Foundation Scholarship Award to Tanner Tracy-Mugrage.<\/p>\n<p>The La Grande Arts Commission also presented a special award to Alora Brown an 11<sup>th<\/sup> grader from La Grande High exhibiting her painting <em>Welcome to My World<\/em>. The La Grande Arts Commission\u2019s \u201cPromising Young Artist Award\u201d comes with a certificate and check for $50.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nightingale Gallery and EOU congratulates the winners and all the outstanding participants,\u201d said Cory Peeke, Nightingale Gallery Director \u00a0\u201cand we would also like to express our appreciation to the region\u2019s art teachers who went out of their way to make sure their students\u2019 work was included in the exhibit and who do an outstanding job with extremely limited resources.\u201d The following is a list of those area teachers.<\/p>\n<p>Baker City High School-Kristen Bell<\/p>\n<p>Cove High School-Eric Gustavson<\/p>\n<p>Crane Union High School-Connie Robbins<\/p>\n<p>Grant Union High School-J.J.
